In the halls of 30 West 16th Street, the beginning of each year brings new changes. One of the most noteworthy changes this year has been the introduction of a new academic schedule. This eight-day schedule replaces the six-day schedule of years prior, and it includes two class days that consist of four 75-minute classes. The E-News has caught up with Eamonn Matthews ’15 to talk about the new schedule.

V. Rev. John Cecero, S.J. a former psychologist and psychology professor, is the new provincial for the New York Province Jesuits. He succeeds Rev. David Ciancimino, S.J. Xavier High School’s advance toward a more global educational perspective came to life this past August as four international students were welcomed into the hallways of 16th street as members of eXchange, Xavier’s new International Exchange and Immersion Program.

Xavier is happy to welcome a terrific class of new faculty and staff to the community. Several teachers will be serving as leave replacements for faculty on maternity leave for part or all of the year.
